While cashiers are maintained on the POS system and the data automatically transferred to CLEARVIEW, the Cashiers settings page maintains a local copy of the cashiers in your organization mapped to the POS system.

To access Cashiers settings:

Issues in transmission can result in a cashier missing in CLEARVIEW. In such a situation, the cashier(s) can be created manually.

ClosedCreate a New Cashier

Cashiers need to be created manually only if there was a problem and CLEARVIEW has not automatically created them from transaction data received from your POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales..

  1. Go to Cashiers settings.

  2. Select the Area* and Store using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page and then click on the Go button.

  3. Click on the Create button.

  4. In the Create Cashier Description window:

    1. Enter the name of the cashier in Description.

    2. Enter the number assigned to the cashier on the POS system in Cashier Number on POS.

    3. Enter the name of the cashier as per the POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. in Desc on POS.

    4. Click on the Create button.

  1. Go to Cashiers settings.

  2. Select the Area* and Store of the cashier using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page and then click on the Go button.

  3. Click on the Description of the cashier you want to edit.

  4. In the Update Cashier Description window:

    1. Change the details as required.

    2. Click on the Update button.

ClosedDelete a Cashier

  1. Go to Cashiers settings.

  2. Select the Area* and Store of the cashier using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page and then click on the Go button.

  3. Click on the Description of the cashier you want to delete.

  4. In the Update Cashier Description window:

    1. Click on the Delete button.

Only cashiers that don't have any data mapped to them can be deleted.
