Drop Chart - Custom Periods determines the periods used in the Drop Chart Worksheet. The drop figures (quantity to be cooked) for the day are broken down to each of these periods based on the historical distribution of total sales.

To access Drop Chart - Custom Periods settings:

  1. Click on on the quick links Located at the top right corner of a page, it contains icons that allow you to quickly access important pages. bar from any page.

  2. In the Settings window:

    Settings associated to a page automatically show in the List box. If the setting that you want to access is in the List box, you can skip step a.

    1. Select Inventory from the Filter drop-down list.

    2. Click on Drop Chart - Custom Periods from the List box in the left pane.

The following information is displayed on the settings page for the Area* and Store selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

  • Start Time: The time at which the period begins.

  • End Time: The time at which the period ends.

  • Sequence: The order in which the periods will appear in the drop charts.

ClosedSet Up or Create Periods for Drop Charts

  1. Go to Drop Chart settings.

  2. Use the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page to select the Area* and Store for which you want to set up the periods for the drop chart worksheet.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Select from the options below:

    • Click on the Auto-create Hour Periods button to automatically create periods of an hour duration each.

    • Click on the Auto-create Half Hour Periods button to automatically create periods of 30 minutes duration each.

    • Click on the Auto-create Quarter Hour Periods button to automatically create periods of 15 minutes duration each.

    • To create periods of different durations:

      1. Click on the Create button.

      2. In the Create New Drop Period window:

        1. Enter the Start Time for the period.

        2. Enter the End Time for the period..

        3. Click on the Create button.

      3. Repeat steps a to b for the each of the remaining periods you want to create.

  5. Select the time at which you want the drop periods to start for the business day The end of day (as set in Stores settings) of one day to the end of day of the subsequent day. For example, if the end of day set in the Stores settings is 9 pm, 9 pm Monday to 9 pm Tuesday will be considered as a business day. from the Drop Period Start Time drop-down list.

  6. Click on the Save button.

ClosedEdit a Drop Chart Period

  1. Go to Drop Chart settings.

  2. Use the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page to select the Area* and Store for which you want to edit the period.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Click on the Start Time of the period that you want to delete.

  5. In the Update Drop Period window.

    1. Change the Start Time and/or End Time as required.

    2. If your drop chart periods are shorter than your POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. periods, change the Factor if required. Click here to learn about Factor.

    3. Click on the Update button.

ClosedDelete all the Drop Chart Periods

  1. Go to Drop Chart settings.

  4. Click on the Delete All Periods button.

ClosedDelete a Single Drop Chart Period

  1. Go to Drop Chart settings.

  2. Use the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page to select the Area* and Store for which you want to delete the drop chart period.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Click on the Start Time of the period that you want to delete.

  5. In the Update Drop Period window:

    1. Click on the Delete button.

    2. Click on the OK button in the confirmation request pop-up box A box with a prompt that opens up when you click certain links or buttons in Clearview..

Ensure that any period that is deleted is replaced by creating a new period, or extending the previous or next period. Any stretch of time that isn't accounted for will result in an error when generating a drop chart sheet.
