Schedule - Rush Periods lets you indicate which periods in the day usually has more customers, for each store, and whether shifts can start during these rush periods.

Rush periods set on this page are used to report in the Breakdown by Rush Periods section of the Summary Stats tab in Forecast Accuracy.

Additionally, if the Allow Shifts to Start During Rush Periods is set to No, the auto-generate feature in Clearview Schedule and Bar Line Scheduling cannot create shifts that start during the rush periods indicated on this page.

To access Schedule - Rush Periods settings:

  1. Click on on the quick links Located at the top right corner of a page, it contains icons that allow you to quickly access important pages. bar from any page.

  2. In the Settings window:

    Settings associated to a page automatically show in the List box. If the setting that you want to access is in the List box, you can skip step a.

    1. Select Labour from the Filter drop-down list.

    2. Click on Schedule - Rush Periods from the List box in the left pane.

The following information is displayed on the settings page for the Area* and Store selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

  • Allow Shifts to Start During Rush Periods: Yes indicates that auto-generate feature in Clearview Schedule and Bar Line Scheduling can create shifts that start in the middle of a rush period, while No indicates that the shifts created by the auto-generate feature can only begin outside rush periods.

  • Period: The name of the rush period.

  • Start Time: The time at which the rush period starts.

  • End Time: The time at which the rush period ends.

ClosedCreate a Rush Period

  1. Go to Schedule - Rush Periods settings.

  2. Select the Area* and Store from the drop-down list(s) at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Click on the Create button.

  5. In the Create Rush Period window:

    1. Enter a name for the rush period in Description.

    2. Select the Start Time for the rush period.

    3. Select the End Time for the rush period.

    4. Select the checkbox if the period you're creating is the primary rush period for the store.

      Only one rush period can be assigned as primary. Setting a period as the primary rush period will override any other period previously set as primary.

    5. Click on the Create button.

ClosedEdit whether Shifts can Start during a Rush Period

  1. Go to Schedule - Rush Periods settings.

  2. Select the Area* and Store from the drop-down list(s) at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Select Yes to Allow Shifts to Start During Rush Periods from the drop-down list, or No to ensure shifts do not begin during rush periods.

  5. Click on the Update button.

ClosedEdit a Rush Period

  1. Go to Schedule - Rush Periods settings.

  2. Select the Area* and Store from the drop-down list(s) at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Click on the Description of the rush period that you want to edit.

  5. Makes changes to the rush period in the Update Rush Period window as required (refer to Create Rush Period for details on the controls).

  6. Click on the Update button.

ClosedDelete a Rush Period

  1. Go to Schedule - Rush Periods settings.

  2. Select the Area* and Store from the drop-down list(s) at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the Go button.

  4. Click on the Description of the rush period that you want to delete.

  5. Click on the Delete button in the Update Rush Period window.

    The primary rush period cannot to deleted. To delete the primary rush period, first assign the primary status to another rush period by editing it, and then delete the rush period.
