What are EOD Markers?

A marker (or end of day marker) indicates the time of day when the registers at the store are closed in order to signify the end of the 24-hour sales reporting period. A marker is generated by the register and sent to CLEARVIEW when the EOD (end of day) is processed at a station. Once the markers are received from all the stations, the day will be processed in CLEARVIEW and financials can be reviewed and updated. Any sales recorded on a register after the marker is received is included in the following day's sales information.
