The Weekly Waste report provides you with the total week's waste as well as the waste for each day of the week that you've selected. It also compares the waste figures (units or cost) with that of the week previous to the one you selected.

The Weekly Waste page may be reached through:

TO VIEW THE WASTE FOR A WEEK (AND COMPARE IT WITH THE PREVIOUS WEEK)

  1. Go to the Weekly Waste page.

  2. Select the Area* and Store for which you want to view the wastage from the drop-down list(s).

  3. Select the Year in which the week you want to view the waste for, begins, from the drop-down list.

  4. Select the last day of the week for which you want to view the waste from the Week Ending drop-down list.

  5. Select what form you'd like to view the waste in from the Result drop-down list.

    • By Unit: The waste quantities will be displayed in the report.

    • By Cost: The cost of the waste will be displayed in the report.

  6. Click on the Go button.

The following information is displayed on the page for the Area*, Store and the week selected:

  • Item: The name of the inventory item or waste category, depending on the waste entry method selected by your organization.

  • Period:

    • 1: The waste of each day of the week that you selected and the Total for the week.

    • 2: The waste of each day of the week and the Total for the week previous to period 1.

      The seven day period that's considered a week in the Weekly Waste Report is the same as the financial week. For a week that's still ongoing, Period 2 assumes the same days as those completed in Period 1.

    • Diff $* or Diff Units*: The difference in waste for the two periods.

      Diff $ or Diff Units = Period 1 - Period 2

    • %: The percentage increase (or decrease) in waste in period 1 over that of period 2.

      % = (Period 1 - Period 2) x 100 / Period 2

Associated Settings

  • Waste Categories controls waste items as a form of waste management (in case your organization uses waste categories).

  • Waste Sheets controls your lists of waste items (in case your organization uses waste sheets).

  • Waste - Fixed/Reoccuring controls items that are automatically set to be discarded in a fixed quantity on a regular basis.

  • Inventory Reporting controls the waste entry method.
