Employee Certifications lets you manage the certifications and trainings that employees need to take in your organization. CLEARVIEW can let you know when these are set to expire on the System Alerts page and the Employee Event Calendar page.

To access Employee Certifications settings:

  1. Click on on the quick links Located at the top right corner of a page, it contains icons that allow you to quickly access important pages. bar from any page.

  2. In the Settings window:

    Settings associated to a page automatically show in the List box. If the setting that you want to access is in the List box, you can skip step a.

    1. Select Labour from the Filter drop-down list.

    2. Click on Employee Certifications from the List box in the left pane.

The following information is displayed on the settings page for the Status selected at the top of the page:

  • Name: The name of the certification or training completed.

  • Frequency:

    • Expires indicates that the certification has an expiry date.

    • Recurs every indicates the period after which the certification needs to be renewed.

  • Alert(s) Enabled: Active indicates that Alerts are enabled for the certification or training, while Inactive indicates that alerts are disabled.

    Alerts for employee certifications are managed through Alerts settings.

  • Status: Active indicates that the certification or training can be added in an employee's file, while Inactive indicates that it cannot be added.

ClosedTo Create a Certification

  1. Go to Employee Certifications settings.

  2. Click on the Create button.

  3. In the Create Employee Certification window:

    1. Enter the Name of the certification or training.

    2. Select the Frequency of the certification:

      • Recurring will let you set how long the certification is valid. You will be required to select the date on which the training or certification was last taken when adding the training/certification for an employee, and CLEARVIEW will then calculate the expiry date based it.

      • Expires will require you enter the certification expiry date when you add the certification for each employee.

    3. Select how frequently the training or certification must be completed in the Recurrence* field.

    4. Place a checkmark next to Enable Alerts if you'd like to include the training/certification in Alerts setting where it can be set up to provide alerts on the System Alerts page.

    5. Click on the Create button.

    6. Click on the OK button in the confirmation pop-up box A box with a prompt that opens up when you click certain links or buttons in Clearview..

ClosedEdit a Certification

  1. Go to Employee Certifications settings.

  2. Click on the Name of the certification that you want to edit.

  3. In the Update Employee Certification window:

    1. Change the details as required. (see create a certification for details)

    2. Click on the Update button.

    3. Click on the OK button in the confirmation pop-up box A box with a prompt that opens up when you click certain links or buttons in Clearview..

ClosedDelete a Certification

  1. Go to Employee Certifications settings.

  2. Click on the Name of the certification that you want to delete.

  3. Click on the Delete* button in the Update Employee Certification window.

    The Delete button is not available for certifications that have been assigned to one or more employees.

    Certifications that cannot be deleted can be deactivated by editing it, so that they cannot be assigned to employees. Certifications already assigned to employees will not be affected by deactivating them.
