Difficulty Level - Expert Impact - Organization Level

A menu product group is the equivalent of a category, under which menu product mix (and hence, menu items as well) can be classified. The Menu Product Groups page lets you view/manage the menu product groups for your organization.

To access Menu Product Groups settings:

  1. Click on on the quick links Located at the top right corner of a page, it contains icons that allow you to quickly access important pages. bar from any page.

  2. In the Settings window:

    Settings associated to a page automatically show in the List box. If the setting that you want to access is in the List box, you can skip step a.

    1. Select Menu from the Filter drop-down list.

    2. Click on Menu Product Groups from the List box in the left pane.

The following information is displayed on the settings page for the Status selected at the top of the page:

Only organizations not subscribed to the inventory module have access to create, edit, delete and audit View a detailed list of changes made. Menu Product Groups.

  1. Go to Menu Product Groups settings.

  2. Click on the name of the menu product group Categories into which menu product mix (and hence menu items) can be grouped. that you want to view.

  3. The following details are displayed in the Update Product Group window:

  1. Go to Menu Product Groups settings.

  2. Click on the Create* button.

  3. In the Create Product Group window:

    1. Enter the name of the menu product group in Description.

    2. Click on the Create button.

Only organizations not subscribed to the inventory module have access to edit menu product groups Categories into which menu product mix (and hence menu items) can be grouped.. Please contact your CLEARVIEW Support Team to edit menu product groups if you don't have access.

  1. Go to Menu Product Groups settings.

  2. Click on the name of the menu product group that you want to edit.

  3. In the Update Product Group window:

    1. Change the Description of the menu product group, if required.

    2. Change the Status to Inactive to exclude all menu items classified under the menu product group from product mix reports, or Active to include them in product mix reports.

    3. Click on the Update* button.

  1. Go to Menu Product Groups settings.

  2. Click on the name of the menu product group that you want to delete.

  3. In the Update Product Group window:

    1. Click on the Delete* button.

    2. Click on the OK button in the confirmation request pop-up box A box with a prompt that opens up when you click certain links or buttons in Clearview..

  1. Go to Menu Product Groups settings.

  2. Click on the name of the menu product group that you want to audit View a detailed list of changes made..

  3. Click on the Audit* button in the Update Product Group window.
