The Product Mix report lets you view your sales (quantity and amount) broken-down of by menu item, menu product mix Sub-categories into which menu items can be grouped. and menu product group Categories into which menu product mix (and hence menu items) can be grouped..

The information in this report is compiled from data received from your POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales..

Detail

The following information is displayed in the Detail tab for the Area*, Store and Period selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

The Display Mode* toggle in the Detail tab is available only if your POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. supports the transmission of live data.

If the Display Mode* is set to Summary or Display Mode is not available:

Status of Live Activity*

The Status of Live Activity report indicates the status of transactions received from POS stations The register or counter at which a transaction is recorded..

The Status of Live Activity section is only displayed if the Period selected is ~~~ Live ~~~*.

If the Display Mode* is set to Destination:

The Destination product mix report provides you with a break-down of all product mix sales by each destination.

If the Display Mode* is set to Menu by Time Period:

The Menu by Time Period product mix report provides you with a break-down of the sales of the menu item selected, by each destination and time period.

  • Period: The time period for which information is provided.

    Click here to learn how to create, edit and delete Time Periods.

  • Destination: (where Destination is each service mode For example: dine-in, take-out, delivery. offered by the store or organization)

    • Units: The quantity of PLUs sold for the menu item selected, for the destination, based on your POS records.

    • Sales: The amount received through sales of the menu item selected, for the destination.

  • Total:

    • Units: The total quantity of PLUs sold for the menu item selected, for all destinations, based on your POS records.

    • Sales: The total amount received through sales of the menu item selected, for all destinations.

Sales by Category - Theoretical

The Sales by Category - Theoretical tab contains the same information as the Detail tab, but splits combination menu items into its individual components and provides the sales information only for the individual components.

Combination menu items are automatically identified by CLEARVIEW based on the sub-recipes included in the recipe mapped to it (click here to learn more).

Combination menu items will not appear as items in this tab, but the sales information for the same will be included in the individual component menu items.

Chart

The chart tab provides you with a visual representation of the sales by menu product groups Categories into which menu product mix (and hence menu items) can be grouped. as a percentage of total sales, for the Area*Store and Period selected.

Filter Information*

The Filter Information tab is only available for individual stores if the Period selected is Daily, the Date selected is within the last seven days and the POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. used by your organization supports the transmission of live data.

The following information is displayed in the Filter Information tab:

  • The Detail report* constrained by the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. selected in the Information Settings box.

  • The Information Settings box which can be used to apply constraints to the product mix detail report.

    The Information Settings box is also available through the Filter Information button in the Summary Report tab if the Period selected is ~~~ Live ~~~.

  • The End of Day Details* report:

    • Station: The register from which the transactions were received.

    • From: The time stamp of the first transaction received for the day.

    • To: The time stamp of the last transaction received for the day.

    • Received: The time at which the end of day marker was received.

Breakdown by Store*

The Breakdown by Store product mix report provides you with a break-down of all product mix sales by each store.

The Breakdown by Store tab is only available if the Store selected is All* or Consolidated*.

The following information is displayed in the Breakdown by Store tab for the Area*, Store and Period selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

Breakdown by Days*

The Breakdown by Days product mix report provides you with a breakdown of all product mix sales for each day in the selected week.

The Breakdown by Days tab is only available if the Period selected is Weekly.

The following information is displayed in the Breakdown by Days tab for the Area*, Store and week selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

Breakdown by Weeks*

The Breakdown by Weeks product mix report provides you with a breakdown of all product mix sales for each week in the selected month.

The Breakdown by Weeks tab is only available if the Period selected is Monthly.

The following information is displayed in the Breakdown by Weeks tab for the Area*, Store and month selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

TO VIEW A PRODUCT MIX REPORT:

  1. Open the Product Mix page.

  2. Select the Area* and Store for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list(s).

  3. Select the Period for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

    ~~~ Live ~~~ is available as an option only for individual stores if the POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. used by your organization supports the transmission of live data.

  4. Select the specifics of the period* (Term*, Date*, Year*, Week*, Week Ending*, Month*, Quarter*, From*, To*, Accounting Period*) from the drop-down list(s).

  5. Click on the Go button.

  • ClosedTo apply constraints to the information displayed:

    Only available for individual stores if the POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. used by your organization supports the transmission of live data, AND

    • The Period selected is ~~~Live~~~ OR

    • The Period selected is Daily and the Date selected is within the last seven days.

    1. Click on the Filter Information* button or the Filter Information* tab.

    2. In the Information Settings box:

      • Select the Order Point* for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Destination for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Station for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Cashier for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Time Period from the From and To drop-down lists.

    3. Click on the Apply Settings button.
