The Payroll Earnings Table lets you map the various pay types to the corresponding earnings code in your payroll app The application or software used by your organization to manage payroll.. The table includes all pay types that can be created in CLEARVIEW, and you only need to map the pay types you intend to use.

To access Payroll Earnings Table settings:

  1. Click on on the quick links Located at the top right corner of a page, it contains icons that allow you to quickly access important pages. bar from any page.

  2. In the Settings window:

    Settings associated to a page automatically show in the List box. If the setting that you want to access is in the List box, you can skip step a.

    1. Select Labour from the Filter drop-down list.

    2. Click on Payroll Earnings Table from the List box in the left pane.

The following information is displayed on the settings page for the Selected Payroll Package displayed at the top of the page:

  • Pay Type: The type of pay paid to employees.

  • Rule: The sub-category of the pay type.

  • Region: The region whose labour laws are applicable for the Pay Type.

  • Working: Yes indicates that an employee needs to have worked to earn the Rule - Pay Type, while No indicates that the employee doesn't.

  • Earnings Code: The code to map the pay type with the correct area of the payroll app The application or software used by your organization to manage payroll..

  • Info Type: In what form is the pay data included in the extract file generated through the Time Card Summary page.

    • N/A indicates that an option has not been selected.

    • Hours indicates that the pay data is included as the number of hours worked in the extract file.

    • Amount indicates that the pay data is included as the calculated pay amount in the extract file.

  • Extract?:

    • Yes indicates that the associated time card type is included in the extract file generated through the Time Card Summary page.

    • No indicates that the associated time card type is excluded from the extract file generated through the Time Card Summary page.

  • Note: Details or conditions to the rule.

Set Up the Payroll Earnings Table

The correct Payroll Package used by your organization must be selected in Payroll before you set up the Payroll Earnings Table.

  1. Go to Payroll Earnings Table settings.

  2. Enter the code to map the pay type with the correct area of your payroll app The application or software used by your organization to manage payroll. in Earnings Code.

    CLEARVIEW requires an Earnings Code for each pay type that will be extracted to your payroll app The application or software used by your organization to manage payroll.. If your payroll app The application or software used by your organization to manage payroll. does not use earnings codes, enter any value in Earnings Code.

  3. Select Hours from the Info Type drop-down list to include the pay data as the number of hours worked in the extract file generated through the Time Card Summary page or Amount to include it as the calculated pay amount.

  4. Select Yes from the Extract? drop-down list to include the associated time card type in the extract file generated through the Time Card Summary page, or No to exclude it.

  5. Repeat the above steps for every pay type that you want to map.

  6. Click on the Submit button.

  7. Click on the OK button in the confirmation pop-up box A box with a prompt that opens up when you click certain links or buttons in Clearview..
