Difficulty Level - Intermediate Impact - Store Level

Schedule - Labour Guide lets you manage the labour guides (the number of employees required to work during each period based on forecasted sales) for your organization.

You can have multiple labour guides for your organization based on your requirements (e.g. one for a particular store, a different one for different seasons, etc.

To access Schedule - Labour Guide settings:

  1. Click on on the quick links Located at the top right corner of a page, it contains icons that allow you to quickly access important pages. bar from any page.

  2. In the Settings window:

    Settings associated to a page automatically show in the List box. If the setting that you want to access is in the List box, you can skip step a.

    1. Select Labour from the Filter drop-down list.

    2. Click on Schedule - Labour Guide from the List box in the left pane.

The following information is displayed on the settings page:

  • Description: The name of the labour guide.

  • Type*: The type of labour guide.

    • Sales indicates that the labour guide has been set up for different sales levels.

    • Transactions (where Transactions is the label assigned to the number of transactions/orders processed during a period) indicates that the labour guide has been set up for different transaction levels.

Clicking on the Description of a labour guide will open the Update Labour Guide page.

The following information is displayed in the Update Labour Guide page for the guide selected:

  • Guide ID: The unique reference number assigned to the labour guide.

  • Description: The name of the labour guide.

  • Type*: The type of labour guide.

    • Sales indicates that the labour guide has been set up for different sales levels.

    • Transactions (where Transactions is the label assigned to the number of transactions/orders processed during a period) indicates that the labour guide has been set up for different transaction levels.

  • Guide Levels:

    • Sales From* and Sales To*: The upper and lower limits of the sales levels.

    • Transactions From~* and Transactions To~*: The upper and lower limits of the transaction levels.

    • Staff Required: The number of staff required for the sales levels.

ClosedCreate a New Labour Guide

  1. Go to Schedule - Labour Guide settings.

  2. Click on the Create button.

  3. In the Create Labour Guide window:

    1. Enter a name for the labour guide in Description.

    2. Select the Type* of labour guide you want to create.

      If the Type drop-down is not available, the labour guide will automatically be created for the Schedule Method selected.

      • Sales indicates that the labour guide has been set up for different sales levels.

      • Transactions (where Transactions is the label assigned to the number of transactions/orders processed during a period) indicates that the labour guide has been set up for different transaction levels.

    3. Enter the lower limit of the sales/transaction level in Sales From or Transactions~ From.

    4. Enter the upper limit of the sales/transaction level in Sales To or Transactions~ To.

    5. Enter the number of employees required for the sales/transaction level in Staff Required.

    6. Click on the Add Level button to add another sales/transaction level if required.

    7. Repeat the process from step c onwards for each sales/transaction level you need to add.

    8. Click on the Create button.

ClosedEdit a Labour Guide

  1. Go to Schedule - Labour Guide settings.

  2. Select the Type* of labour guide you want to edit using the filter Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the Go* button.

  4. Click on the Description of the labour guide you want to edit.

  5. In the Update Labour Guide window:

    ClosedTo edit a sales transaction level:

    1. Change the lower limit of the sales/transaction level in Sales From or Transactions~ From, if required.

    2. Change the upper limit of the sales/transaction level in Sales To or Transactions ~ To, if required.

    3. Change the number of employees required for the sales/transaction level in Staff Required, if required.

    ClosedTo add a new sales/transaction level:

    1. Click on the Add Level button.

    2. Enter the lower limit of the sales/transaction level in Sales From or Transactions~ From.

    3. Enter the upper limit of the sales/transaction level in Sales To or Transactions ~ To.

    4. Enter the number of employees required for the sales/transaction level in Staff Required.

    5. Repeat the process from for each sales/transaction level you need to add.

    ClosedTo remove the last sales/transaction level:

    1. Click on the Remove Level button.

  6. Click on the Update button.

ClosedDelete a Labour Guide

  1. Go to Schedule - Labour Guide settings.

  2. Select the Type* of labour guide you want to delete using the filter Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page.

  3. Click on the Go* button.

  4. Click on the Description of the labour guide you want to delete.

  5. Click on the Delete button in the Update Labour Guide window.

  6. Click on the OK button in the confirmation request pop-up box A box with a prompt that opens up when you click certain links or buttons in Clearview.*.
