Time Period Day Parts lets you break down your day into different parts (for example, breakfast, lunch, tea, etc.) so that you can view the sales and labour costs broken down to those parts of the day.

To access Time Period Day Parts settings:

  1. Click on on the quick links Located at the top right corner of a page, it contains icons that allow you to quickly access important pages. bar from any page.

  2. In the Settings window:

    Settings associated to a page automatically show in the List box. If the setting that you want to access is in the List box, you can skip step a.

    1. Select Global from the Filter drop-down list.

    2. Click on Time Periods Day Parts from the List box in the left pane.

The following information is displayed on the settings page:

  • Description: The name of the part of the day.

  • Report Sequence: The order in which the part of the day is appears on a report.

  • Start Time: The time at which the part of the day starts.

  • End Time: The time at which the part of the day ends.

We recommend that all time periods are accounted for within your created day parts so that day parts reports accurately represent the entire day.

ClosedCreate a New Day Part

  1. Go to Time Period Day Parts settings.

  2. Click on the Create button.

  3. In the Create Time Period Breakdown window:

    1. Enter a name for the part of the day in Description.

    2. Enter a number in Sequence (this number determines the order in which the day part will appear on the page).

      It's a good practice to avoid assigning consecutive numbers when creating day parts the first time and instead use numbers with large gaps between them (for example, 10, 20, 30 and so on). That way, in the future, if the day parts need to be broken down further, the new day parts can easily be inserted in between as required.

    3. Enter the Start Time for the day part.

    4. Enter the End Time for the day part.

    5. Click on the Create button.

ClosedEdit a Day Part

  1. Go to Time Period Day Parts settings.

  2. Click on the name of the day part that you want to edit.

  3. In the Update Time Period Breakdown window:

    1. Make changes to the details as required (see Create a New Day Part for details).

    2. Click on the Update button.

ClosedDelete a Day Part

  1. Go to Time Period Day Parts settings.

  2. Click on the name of the day part that you want to delete.

  3. Click on the Delete button in the Update Time Period Breakdown window.
