The Summary report provides you with an overview of the sales for your organization for the period selected.

The information in this report includes data received from your POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. as well as data entered via the Daily Entry pages.

  • The operators (+, - and =) on the left of the components in this reports indicate the type of calculation carried out for that row.

  • Summary reports can be subscribed to by clicking on Subscribe. Click here to learn how to create a subscription.

Summary Report

The following information is displayed in the Summary Report tab for the Area*, Store and Period selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

Clicking on a link in the report will expand that component to display it's elements.

  • Close Reading*: The grand total sales reading received from your POS at the end of the period selected.

  • Open Reading*: The grand total sales reading received from your POS at the beginning of the period selected.

  • The Gross Sales for the store(s) selected and the calculations performed to arrive at the Adjusted Gross, Net Sales and Expected Deposit.

    • Clicking on Non Food Sales will open the Non Food Sales tab.

    • Clicking on a Deductions element link will open the Deductions tab.

  • The Actual Deposit (cash and credit accounted for) and the Cash Over/Short (difference between expected and actual).

    This information is also available on the Banking Information page.

  • Break-up of the order points (front counter, drive through, etc.).

  • Break-up of the destination (eat in, take out, etc.).

  • Other information like transaction count, average sale, etc.

Status of Live Activity*

The Status of Live Activity report indicates the status of transactions received from POS stations The register or counter at which a transaction is recorded..

The Status of Live Activity section is only displayed if the Period selected is ~~~ Live ~~~*.

Deductions

The following information is displayed in the Deductions tab for the Area*, Store and Period selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

  • Deduction Type: The classification for the deduction.

  • Category: The name of the deduction.

  • Count: The number of transactions recorded for the deduction.

  • Amount: The total amount discounted through the deduction.

  • The total (count and amount) is provided for each deduction type.

  • TOTAL DEDUCTIONS: The total amount discounted through all deductions.

Non Food Sales*

The Non Food Sales tab is only available if there were sales of menu items that were categorized as non-food items for the period.

The following information is displayed in the Non Food Sales tab for the Area*, Store and Period selected using the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. at the top of the page:

  • Category: The product mix under which the menu item is classified.

  • Description: The name of the menu item.

  • Amount: The portion of sales of the menu item that was attributed to non-food.

  • The total amount is provided for each category.

  • Total Non Food Sales: The total amount attributed to non-food.

    This amount is deducted from the Gross Sales, along with a few other components, to arrive at the Adjusted Gross.

Filter Information*

The Filter Information tab is only available for individual stores if the Period selected is Daily, the Date selected is within the last seven days and the POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. used by your organization supports the transmission of live data.

The following information is displayed in the Filter Information tab:

  • The Summary Report* constrained by the filters Drop-down boxes that let you select from the options available. selected in the Information Settings box.

  • The Information Settings box which can be used to apply constraints to the summary report.

    The Information Settings box is also available through the Filter Information button in the Summary Report tab if the Period selected is ~~~ Live ~~~.

  • The End of Day Details* report:

    • Station: The register from which the transactions were received.

    • From: The time stamp of the first transaction received for the day.

    • To: The time stamp of the last transaction received for the day.

    • Received: The time at which the end of day marker was received.

Breakdown by Store*

The Breakdown by Store tab is only available if the Store selected is All* or Consolidated*.

The Breakdown by Store tab contains the same information as the Summary Report tab, but also includes the data broken down to each store in the organization.

Breakdown by Days*

The Breakdown by Days tab is only available if the Period selected is Weekly.

The Breakdown by Days tab contains the same information as the Summary Report tab, but also includes the data broken down to each day in the selected week.

Breakdown by Weeks*

The Breakdown by Weeks tab is only available if the Period selected is Monthly.

The Breakdown by Weeks tab contains the same information as the Summary Report tab, but also includes the data broken down to each week in the selected month.

  • The weeks considered for the report are financial weeks during the month, and hence the first and last weeks may be less than seven days.

  • Clicking on a week in the header will open the Breakdown by Days tab for that week.

TO VIEW A SUMMARY REPORT:

  1. Open the Summary page.

  2. Select the Area* and Store for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list(s).

  3. Select the Period for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

    ~~~ Live ~~~ is available as an option only for individual stores if the POS system Point Of Sale system - the system/register used to bill customers and track sales. used by your organization supports the transmission of live data.

  4. Select the specifics of the period* (Term*, Date*, Year*, Week*, Week Ending*, Month*, Quarter*, From*, To*, Accounting Period*) from the drop-down list(s).

  5. Click on the Go button.

  • ClosedTo apply constraints to the information displayed:

    • The Period selected is ~~~Live~~~ OR

    • The Period selected is Daily and the Date selected is within the last seven days.

    1. Click on the Filter Information* button or the Filter Information* tab.

    2. In the Information Settings box:

      • Select the Order Point* for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Destination for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Station for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Cashier for which you want to view the report from the drop-down list.

      • Select the Time Period from the From and To drop-down lists.

    3. Click on the Apply Settings button.
