The Stat Helper (also called Stat Day Day(s) marked as statutory holidays. Helper) is a report that can be generated for statutory holidays, and details which employees are eligible to receive non-working statutory holiday pay and which aren't. It also provides you with the hours and pay recorded on the statutory holiday time card, what the employee is eligible for and the calculation of the eligible hours and pay.

TO GENERATE A STATUTORY HOLIDAY PAY REPORT:

  1. Open the Stat Helper page.

  2. Select the Area* and Store for which you want to generate the report from the drop-down list(s).

  3. Select the statutory holiday for which you want to view the hours and pay from the Stat Holiday drop-down list.

  4. Click on the Go button.

The following information is displayed on the page:

  • Employee: The last and first name of the employee.

  • Status: Indicates whether the employee is Eligible to be paid for the statutory holiday or the reason why they're not eligible.

  • Eligible: Calculations based on the data currently available for the employee.

    Current data can differ from the recorded statutory time cards if time card data has been modified after the statutory time cards were generated.

    • Hours: The number of hours the employee should be paid for, for the statutory holiday.

    • Pay: The amount of pay the employee should have received for the statutory holiday.

  • Actual: Calculations based on the statutory time cards at present.

    • Hours: The number of hours recorded on the statutory holiday time card.

    • Pay: The amount of pay recorded on the statutory holiday time card.

  • Variance:

    • Hours indicates that the time card has been modified after the statutory pay records were generated, resulting in a difference in the hours only and not the pay.

    • Pay indicates that the employee's pay rate for the statutory holiday has been modified after the statutory pay record was generated.

    • Hours & Pay indicates that the time card has been modified after the statutory pay records were generated, hence resulting in a difference in the hours and pay.

    • No stat card exists indicates that a statutory pay record does not exist for the employee.

    • Auto stat_card exists indicates that the a statutory pay record was generated for the employee automatically, before the employee was salaried.

    • Manual stat card exists indicates that the a statutory pay record was manually generated for the employee.

  • Clicking on a link in the Employee column will open the Stat Day Helper Details page for the employee.

The Stat Day Helper Details page displays the following information:

  • Store: The store number followed by the name of the store.

  • Region: The province, state or country in which the store's located.

  • The last and first name of the employee.

  • Date: The date for which the statutory cards were generated.

  • Primary Job: The job description indicated as primary in the Job & Pay tab of the electronic employee file.

  • ELIGIBILITY: The criteria to be met for the employee to be eligible for statutory holiday pay and details of the criteria met or not met.

  • CALCULATION*: The calculations used to arrive at the average wages or average hours for a period.

  • Time Cards: Details of the time cards for the eligibility period.

  • Variance:
